Chai Discovery has raised ~$30M in a Seed financing round. The fundraise was led by Thrive Capital, OpenAI, and Dimension Capital with participation from Conviction, Neo, Lachy Groom, and Amplify. The round also included angel investors Greg Brockman, Blake Byers, Kevin and Julia Hartz, Fred Ehrsam, Will Gaybrick, David Frankel, and Marty Chavez.

We are also releasing Chai-1, a foundation model for molecular structure prediction that performs at the state-of-the-art across a variety of tasks relevant to drug discovery.
